Laying of geotextile

1、Rolling paving by hand. The surface of the cloth should be flat, and leave appropriate deformation margin.

2, filament or short wire geotextile installation usually lap, stitching and welding several methods. The width of stitching and welding is generally more than 0.1m, and the lap width is generally more than 0.2M. Geotextile that may be exposed for a long time should be welded or stitched.

3, geotextile stitching all stitching must be continuous. Before overlapping, the geotextile must be overlapped at least 150mm. the minimum sewing needle distance from the edge of the weaving is at least 25mm for sewing the thread should be the minimum tension over 60N resin material, and have with the geotextile equivalent to or exceeding the chemical corrosion and ultraviolet resistance. Any “missed stitches” in the sewn geotextile must be re-sewn in the affected area. Measures must be taken to avoid the ingress of soil, particulate matter or foreign material into the geotextile layer after installation. Depending on the terrain and the function of the fabric, it can be naturally overlapped, sewn or welded.

4, in the construction, the geotextile above the geomembrane using natural lap joints, geomembrane upper geotextile using sewing or hot air welding. Hot air welding is the first filament geotextile connection method, that is, the connection of the two pieces of cloth with a hot air gun instantaneous high temperature heating, so that part of it reaches a molten state, and immediately use a certain external force to make it firmly bonded together. In the case of wet (rainy and snowy) weather can not be thermal bonding connection, geotextile should take another method of a sewing connection method, that is, with a special sewing machine for double thread sewing connection, and the use of chemical ultraviolet ray-proof sewing thread. Minimum width of 10cm for sewing, 20cm for natural lap joint, 20cm for hot air welding.

5, for sewing, to use the same quality as the geotextile sewing line, sewing line should be used to resist chemical damage and ultraviolet irradiation ability of stronger material.

6, geotextile laying is completed by the site supervision engineer approved by the next process.

Second, the basic requirements of geotextile laying

Joints shall be intersected with the slope line, and the foot of the slope balance or where there may be stress, the distance of the horizontal joints shall comply with the relevant requirements, on the slope, the geotextile end of the anchor, and then the coil shall be lowered on the slope to ensure that the geotextile to maintain the state of tension. All geotextiles shall be held down with sandbags which will be used during laying and retained until the top layer of material is laid.

Third, geotextile laying process requirements

1, grass-roots level check: check whether the grass-roots level, solid, such as foreign matter, should be treated properly.

2, test paving: according to the site conditions, determine the size of geotextile, cut to test paving, cutting size should be accurate.

3、Check whether the width of spreading is appropriate, the lap should be flat, loose and tight.

4、Positioning: use hot air gun to bond the lap part of two geotextiles, the spacing of bonding points should be appropriate.

5、Sewing the overlap part when sewing should be straight and the stitch should be even.

6、After sewing, the geotextile should be checked whether it is laid flat and whether there are defects. If there is a phenomenon that does not meet the requirements, it should be repaired in time.
